The Diploma in Jan Swasthya Rakshak is a one-year vocational healthcare programme aimed at preparing individuals to support community health initiatives, preventive healthcare, health education, and primary healthcare services. The programme provides students with the knowledge, practical skills, and field exposure necessary to contribute effectively to public health and community welfare.
The programme is offered by the First Aid Council of India (FACI) in academic collaboration with Jharkhand State Open University (JSOU). Jharkhand State Open University is a State University established by the Government of Jharkhand and recognized under Section 2(f) of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, 1956. The curriculum emphasizes practical learning, community engagement, preventive healthcare, and first aid skills to prepare students for diverse healthcare support roles and self-employment opportunities.
Students participate in practical sessions, community-based learning, health awareness activities, emergency care demonstrations, and field-oriented training to develop real-world healthcare competencies.
